Wardrobes & PAX systems
Hinged and sliding-door wardrobes, PAX frames with full interior fit-out – rails, drawers, shelves – anchored to the wall so they can’t tip.
Beds
Bed frames, storage beds with drawers, bunk beds and kids’ beds – bolted tight so nothing creaks a month later.
Kitchen & dining
Kitchen cabinets and trolleys, dining tables and chairs, bar stools – levelled on KL’s not-always-level floors.
Desks, shelves & TV consoles
Office desks, BILLY and KALLAX shelving, BESTÅ and other TV consoles – including wall-anchoring where it’s needed.
It doesn’t have to be IKEA. Half the boxes we open are from Shopee, Lazada or a Taobao shipment – the instructions are worse, the job is the same. We also dismantle and reassemble furniture when you move. Assembly is one part of our handyman service in KL – and if you’ve just moved in, we can do your TV wall mounting on the same visit.
Furniture assembly prices (KL)
IKEA’s own assembly service charges 10% of the product price – on a RM2,500 PAX that’s RM250, before drilling. Our prices are flat, published, and quoted exactly from your photos:

Assembling IKEA furniture in a KL condo
Most of our assembly jobs come straight after a delivery from IKEA Damansara (IPC) or IKEA Cheras (MyTOWN) – and in a condo, the building matters as much as the flat-pack. Tell us your condo name and we’ll sort the details before the visit:
- Service lift: bulky PAX and wardrobe boxes usually need the service lift booked with management – IKEA delivery often drops at the lobby, not your door.
- Ceiling height: a standard PAX frame is 236 cm tall and gets assembled lying down – in rooms with low ceilings or bulkheads we build it upright piece by piece instead. This is the classic DIY trap.
- Wall anchoring: wardrobes and tall shelves should be anchored (IKEA’s tip-over straps). That means drilling, and most KL condos only allow it on weekdays roughly 9am-5pm.
- Access forms: many managements want a contractor form or deposit before letting workers in – we’ll tell you exactly what to ask your management office.
- Half-done DIY: started a MALM on Saturday night and gave up? Happens all the time. We finish half-assembled furniture too – and carry spare dowels and cam locks for the pieces that went missing.

Tall PAX wardrobe in a compact SOFO unit
The job: A delivery of boxed furniture was occupying most of the living area, while the bedroom had limited space for raising the tall wardrobe frames.

How much does IKEA assembly cost in KL?

Do you assemble furniture from Shopee, Lazada or Taobao?
Yes – any flat-pack, not just IKEA. Taobao furniture often comes with Chinese-only diagrams or none at all; we assemble it from experience, and it’s one of our most common jobs.
How long does a PAX wardrobe take to assemble?
Around 2-4 hours per frame including doors and interior fittings, longer for sliding doors. A full bedroom set (bed + PAX + bedsides) is usually done within a day.
Can you finish furniture I started assembling myself?
Yes. We regularly rescue half-built wardrobes and beds – we’ll check what was done, fix anything misaligned and finish the job. Send a photo of where you got stuck.
Do you anchor wardrobes to the wall?
Yes, and for tall units we strongly recommend it – it’s the anti-tip standard IKEA itself specifies. It needs drilling, so in condos we schedule within your building’s allowed hours.
What if parts are missing or damaged?
We carry spare dowels, cam locks and screws for the common gaps. For damaged panels, IKEA’s spare-parts counter replaces most pieces free – we’ll tell you exactly what to request.
