Signs the gas may be low
The usual sign is an aircond that runs but never gets the room properly cold, or takes much longer than it used to. A dirty coil looks the same, so we measure before adding anything.
Top-up or leak repair?
Refrigerant goes round a sealed loop and is not consumed, so a low level means it has escaped somewhere. A top-up alone brings the cold back for a while, then the gas leaks out again. When we find a leak, we show you where it is and what the repair involves. The refill comes after the fix.
